Djémay was born in Guadeloupe and has lived in Paris for 10 years. He has been singing since 2009, released his first underground project in 2012 and the second the following year. He continued to release titles actively until 2016 before a personal drama significantly affected his music and especially his productivity.

In April 2020, the title "Lavi", his first commercial title, is finally available for streaming. Accompanied by a very conceptual clip, Djémay tells the story of the difficulties of life, a title sounding like an outlet for the artist who has put music in the background for a few years. But this title is not trivial, it is also launching the promotion of its first self-production project: "Indécis".
